bought a home 6 yrs ago with all new Whirlpool appliances, included this oven. I seldom use the oven. Works fine, till I decided to use the self cleaning option.....oven locked and cant open it! Called repairman, he thought the thermostat had to be replaced. Part is $120, labor $240. OUTRAGEOUS!

This oven doesn't cook food evenly. I cannot cook frozen pizzas, cookies, biscuits, cakes, etc. in this oven. The top with burn and the bottom of all the food is raw. I have tried moving the racks several different times. I do not recommend this product.

I bought a new Pulte home just over three years ago. I upgraded to a better Whirlpool oven. After about 7 months of owning it there has been issues. When I heat the oven to 350deg it goes through the pre heat stage, it makes a beep and the temp shows 350 deg. At first it appeared to be at proper temp and seemed to cook just fine. I have noticed that after the first 9mths it never seemed to be hot enough. If after the beep sounded and the window indicated that it was at 350degs, it wouldn't bake cookies for the allotted 9-11mins. They just weren't done. Recently I again brought it to 350deg temp and then pushed cancel, and moved the temp up to 400deg. The pre heat showed it was only at 235deg, (not 350deg). I used a digital infrared thermometer and showed 206deg. I never did get it up to 400deg. The DIT showed it would only get to 335deg. I am not happy with this product, it should have lasted longer than three years.

Noise has always been an issue on this oven. Decided to quantify it. Baseline for quiet house was 35. This oven warms up at 62 with a peak of 86. Cooking is 60 and 76, cooling down is 50 and 55. Switch to convection setting and cooking is actually lower at 57 and 63. My dishwasher is at 57 and 67(when water is running) and microwave is 47 and 70. All measurements were taken across the room at equivalent distances from appliances. The peaks aren't just a one time thing more 5-10 seconds every minute. Consumer Reports says ovens are always quiet so they don't bother with noise except on dishwashers. This oven proves them wrong. Apparently whirlpool makes Maytag and kitchen aid so I'd watch out for noise on those. My sisters GE shows averages 10-20 below without extreme peaks of this oven.

This is a terrible oven. Sounds like a plane taking off when it is heating up and cooking. Cooling down not much better. Getting up to temp can take 20+ minutes, cooling down 40 minutes unless you leave door open...then about 20. Repair guy and customer service says it is working fine. Can't eat dinner when it's on or cooling down so end up microwaving to get food back up to temp. Keep warm setting loud and too cool to use. An waste of money.

Seemed to work fine but to only get 3.5 years out of a $1000 oven is super disappointing. The oven just went black after we turned it off after baking. It has not come to life and yes we checked all of the circuit breakers etc.

Had the oven for three months. Love the size. Read other reviews with negatives about fan sound and uneven heating. Haven't experienced either. Yes, there is fan noise, but not excessive. The six batches of cookies have all baked evenly. I've had no problems with this oven.

After a really bad experience with ordering from another retailer and waiting for two months, we ordered this oven from a different retailer and got it in two weeks. There are pros and cons to this new unit. I love that the oven heats up so quickly and is ready to go. However, I do NOT like that it vent out the bottom, onto the floor. Additionally, this oven did not fit my space perfectly. It is not flush with the front of my cabinets, even though the description states its dimensions, indicating that it would. So a small part of each side is visible. I'm rather OCD so this does bother me.

Whirlpool has been around since I can remember. And it's nice to see a proven leader that has kept it's integrity and American roots. We've had our stove for a couple of weeks now and right off I could tell how much more well built it is compared to our old stove. First I can not lift it by myself and second when you shut the door the sound and feel is unmistakable quality. We also like the steam clean feature and the hidden heating element.

The oven seems larger than my old one, but fits in the same spot without any adjustments. It has cooked my weekly sour dough bread beautifully. I am so pleased with this oven. Haven't had to try either of the two cleaning methods. Will certainly try the one which uses water before the other method.

I purchased this one to replace the whirlpool that was in the house when purchased. I like the way it bakes . I especially like the no bottom heating element . The only issue that I have is that the fan makes way too much noise while cooling the oven after baking .

Love the window. A little disappointed with the way the timer beeps. And the oven is louder than I would have expected. And we've had some trouble using the timer without turning the oven off.

So many reviews indicate how loud this motor runs even during cool down.i was concerned but could not find a better option price and feature wise, so i went with it. My table is next to the oven in a kitchen nook. We had no issues conversing after preparing the meal. It is slow to reach temperature, so plan for that.

Does everything as advertised. Easy to use, convenient controls. Survived the holiday baking season without incident. Cooling fan noise is very muted, much like a ceiling fan on low speed. Plan to try the self cleaning feature before the warranty expires in view of the comments of some reviewers. But so far appears to be a good value.

I purchased my oven about 3 weeks ago and didn't realize how old my previous one was. I love the quick warm up and the precise temperature. My cookies and cakes rise beautifully and my roasts cook to perfection! For a single oven, it has a tremendous amount of space on the inside. A 22 pound turkey will fit with ease. Thank you Whirlpool for designing the PERFECT oven for me. Now I love to cook!
